Gerard Butler Talks About Iceland

I just read an article in NEWS OF THE WORLD and Gerard Butler was talking about his new film How To Train Your Dragon, and he was asked about Vikings and his love of Scandinavia. Gerry talked about Iceland and filming Beowulf and Grendel and how he fell in love with the beautiful country. Well of course it turned my thoughts to Wrath of Gods and the hour long interview he did with Jon Gustafsson, no doubts after watching that interview that he indeed devloped a passion for Iceland and its people.

Yes, I am still talking about this documentary. :)

In Demand...

How cool is this... Wrath of Gods is still in demand... Yes.. after all this time the DVDs are still selling like hotcakes. Gerard Butler's (300, Nims Isalnd, PS I Love You) fans all bought up the first batch of DVDs that hit the market, but the DVD just keeps attracting new audiences all over the world. Its entertaining - down right hilarious at times, intense and heart breaking at others, and while watching you see all the heart that the cast and crew from Bewoulf and Grendel had making thier movie but there is so much outside of that.... this appeals to those who love the insites into the movie business, the unbelievable circumstances that have to be dealt with in productions, the heart that exists on a set that makes the impossible happen...

Film schools are beginning to take an interest in Wrath of Gods for the wealth of information for those aspiring to be the next generation of filmmaker greats....

I knew that this documentary was really going to be a masterpiece when I first became aware of it, but it still blew me away the first time I saw it in full and realized just how exceptional it was, quality, entertainment, content....

not bad for an independent film made in Iceland by an incredibly talented filmmaker, Jon Gustafsson has definitely made an impressive mark!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wrath of Gods.... Prestigious awards and accolades

Wrath of Gods had a great festival showing. Seventeen screenings all around the world and out of those, six prestigious awards!!!!! I applaud Jon Gustafsson, his documentary starring Gerard Butler has earned him well deserved accolades and has brought him a sizable fan base. The sales for the DVD have been great with only 60 of the Canadian/USA version let. But don’t worry… more are on the way, so if you haven’t gotten yours yet more will be available soon. Jon Gustafsson worked some powerful magic when he captured the unbelievable story behind the filming of Bewoulf and Grendel and it cast a spell over Gerard Butler fans and film enthusiasts every where. For me, the passion will never die and the enthusiasm will never dim about Wrath of Gods, it stands out heads above the rest, a documentary that captured the dreams and hopes of a production where filmmakers, cast, and crew refused to give up and the best part… there is so much to come!!!!!! Film schools are going to love this documentary. I watched it transform from beginning to end, from a vision, to a dream, to a masterpiece… so as the song says…”start spreading the news.”
Be sure and check it out!!!!!!! http://www.wrathofgods.com

California (Hollywood) and Washington DC!!!!

What a good memory!

WOW!!!! March and April had Wrath of Gods buzzing. Jon and that fantastic documentary that I love raving about left Iceland and arrived in LA for a screening at CUT!2008 on the 29th of March. And, guess what.. I arrived there too!!!!! Talk about an exciting weekend. A great crowd attended the showing what an appreciation they had for the doc. Jon and a couple of his friends from Bewoulf and Grendel, actors Tony Curran and Martin Dalaney set the Q&A panel and was it ever fantastic! the guys were loaded with humor and kept the audience in stitches. What was I doing... I was sitting on that front row beaming like a beacon and enjoying every single minute. I can't tell you how excited I was... Jon came down to the front of the theater and gave me a big hug and then he got the crowd going with that Icelandic wit and humor and then the film began. I don't think anyone noticed, well my friend sitting next to me probably did, but I had a couple of big tears that surfaced when that doc started to roll. You just can't have that much passion for something and respect for someone and not get emotional. They were those kind of tears that puddle and then find their way down your cheeks really slow. They were really happy tears. Everytime I watch tht documentary I am so proud of and for Jon Gustafsson, take a bow Jon!!!!!!!!!!

Well if Hollywood wasn't exciting enough, Wrath and Jon took off for Washingotn DC where two screenings took place to the merriment and appreciation of the attendees at the Gerard Butler fan (GB.NET) Charity Convention. Between the two events Jon Gustafsson took a lot of pictures with a lot of girls and he signed tons of autographs. Yeah, its a hard job, but hey somebody has to do it. LOL

***** I met some so nice people in LA and met up with a few I had met when I attended the Bewoulf and Grendel premiere a couple years before. I had so much fun!!!!!!

BRADFORD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL... NEXT STOP FOR WRATH

2008 is rally off to a great start. Wrath of Gods has just screened at the Sky Film Festival in Montana. March 5th the documentary packs its bags for the UK and will be screened at the

Bradford International Film Festival. This is the first UK festival that Wrath has been screened at.

In all this time, the last three years, I have continued to be excited about Wrath of Gods. I knew from the very beginning that this project was going to be something very special. As Jon Gustafsson worked on his documentary I waited patiently (and that really was not easy for me to do) LOL and true to that old saying the best things are worth waiting for Wrath of Gods proved it true. I never lost faith one time, that Jon would complete his documentary and that

it would be a success. I believed 100% and put all the power of postive thinking I could muster

into it. I helped all that I could, and made a right pest of myself asking and asking if it was ready yet. And, now that I sit back and see the success Wrath of Gods has had and how it has

traveled all around the world and won awards and I have to tell you I am just beaming!!!! I am so proud for and of Jon Gustafsson and all the cool things that have happened with his Wrath of Gods. I would not hae missed all of this for the world. And how cool, there is so much more to come!!!!!!!
