November 2006

This is the movie business I am talking about here.. I have come to find that things don't always go as planned... well almost never...

The CBC News World, The Lens, http://www.cbc.ca/thelens/program_141106.html aired after being delayed for a couple of weeks, in November of 2006. This broadcast from Canada was a short version of Wrath of Gods. Just enough to wet the whistle really good for the full length 70 minute version on the DVD. Once the Canadian viewers started talking about the broadcast it put everyone in a stir. The DVD was to be released in just a few weeks, and everyone including Gerard Butler's fans were waiting...
now what was that I said about this being the movie business and nothing goes as planned.. LOL
well at this time Gerard Butler (300) who starred as Beowulf in Beowulf and Grendel joined Wrath of Gods as co-producer. This was great news and Gerard Butler's fans were even more excited. Kudos to Gerard Butler for recognizing a good things when he sees one......
**I guess I should mention some of the people starring in Jon's Wrath of Gods.. Along with Gerard Butler .. Sturla Gunnarsson (director of B&G), Andrew Berzins (writer) Stellan Skarsgard, Sara Polley, and producers of B&G Paul Stephens and Eric Jordan. Not a bad line up at all.****
What was it that didn't go as planned you ask? The release of the DVD had been postponed
to a later date. The waiting fans would wait until 2007 for the release....
But.....
In the mean time Jon's official site, http://www.wrathogods.com/ was coming along nicely and became a life saver for all who were waiting as it provided several clips and the trailer that the fans watched as they waited for the news that the Wrath release was on its way.
You ask.. what was I doing all this time ... I was cheering Jon on and driving him nuts like the kid in the back seat who continuously asks.."are we there yet?" LOL I love having something to be excited about and look forward to . My anticipation was sky high.
The passion, dedication, and love for this documentary was as strong now as it had been from the very beginning.......
